A longtime friend of mine, Desmond, has always been in love with photography. Unfortunately, he lost his right hand in a childhood accident and was also too poor to buy a camera. However, an anonymous man recently paid for his hand surgery and bought him a Nikon D3000-- something he has wanted since he came out of the womb. In this touching photo, Desmond holds a camera for the very first time with his brand new hand and I was able to capture the inspirational moment.
