At Sacred Stone Camp (Standing Rock Reservation, Cannonball, ND) there is a statue that the Youth made and put on top of a tall hill, overlooking the cannonball river and the site where Energy Partners is installing the North Dakota Access Pipeline through the sacred ceremony sites and burial grounds. The story goes that a very old Chanunpa Pipe was donated to the Smithsonian. The bowl piece of the pipe was a white man and when a Native American smoked the pipe he would be positioned to stare the white man in eyes. The piece is appropriately named "Not Afraid to Stare the White Man in the Eyes". This large statue was made and placed at camp where it could stare straight ahead across the valley at the men installing the North Dakota Access Pipeline and at the Black Snake itself. In this picture you see a Water Protector standing with the Red Man in solidarity.
