Quite possibly my favorite shot yet. We spent the better part of two hours watching the sky to see what it had in store for us come sunset. I had a sinking feeling that there was too much cloud cover to allow the underside of the clouds to light up. I was correct in this prediction, but I never could have predicted how the entire backdrop to those clouds would light on fire and illuminate the entire scene perfectly. Sometimes you really are in the right spot at the perfect moment and this may be a first for me. Taken at Hug Point along the Oregon Coast south of Cannon Beach. Single exposure using a circulal polorizer and a soft edge ND Grad. Nikon D7100, 18-140mm @18mm
