Location
This photo was taken on the lower Klamath Wildlife Refuge, and that is on the state line between California and Oregon.Time
I took this at 7:03 am, as the moon was setting, luckily this eagle did not fly off, I had to wait about 20 minutes for the moon to get into position. While waiting, I prayed for a mature ( white head Eagle ) to take this ones place, but alas, it did not happen.Lighting
This is one of the few Eagle photos where I had great light and a blue sky.Equipment
This was shot with a Sony RX10 iiii, handheld. By far the best bridge camera on the market today. ( my opinion )Inspiration
The day before this I had the same shot with a mature eagle and was not quick enough to get it, so the next day I planted myself early and waited,Editing
This was edited on an I pad, using the auto button, that seemed to take away some brightness, but added depth to the photograph. In my camera bag
Back then I just carried my Sony RX 10 iiii. Now I carry 2 cameras, my Sony a6409 and a Nikon 3400. Sony cameras tend to quit working when I need them most, so now I carry two, hence the Nikon.Feedback
I have found that with any really good shot, planing is very important, get there way, way too early, and sit if you have the patience. This is the only time I have patience, Somehow this type of waiting is ok, if I’m waiting on anything else, I’m not fun to be with, ask my lady.
