I was driving through the Vic Fazio Wildlife Preserve in Davis, CA. I stopped to watch this Kestrel eating a smaller bird on a ledge near the freeway when a Red Tailed Hawk flew over. This caused the Kestrel to fly off with it's kill to a safer location.
