the Villefranche defense wall and the entrance door seen from the bridge built from pink marble , the same marble was used in the Cuxa cloister see some photo i made ,(you can see some part of this pink marble cloister in NY museum) above you can see the Liberia fort, the defense were buid from the Vauban plans in the XVII century ,Vauban became Marechal de France for his bravery and for his work done for Louis the XIV
