I was taking a walk at a local Open Space here in Colorado and heard something squeaking fairly close to me. Upon closer inspection, I came to find out it was a Magpie nest in a nearby tree. The parents had built a very protective nest inside this tree that, as you can see, is covered with tons of branches. So, I got in as close as I could and took this photo. Next thing I know, I am getting pecked on the back of my head. Daddy had arrived!
