Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in our living room. We use our family wall chalkboard as the backdrop and use one Speedlight with a diffuser box. My wife and I were capturing photos for models throughout the day for a local MUA. We took photos for a total of 13 models and my wife wanted to jump into the experience. The MUA did her hair and make up and I snapped a few images that led to this been my favorite.

Inspiration

My wife wanted to be part of the experience as the models were, so she got her hair and make up done.

Editing

Remove a few unwanted marks and used clarity on lightroom, this took away from the sharpness of the image.

Now I have a D850 Nikon with multiple prime lens, and strobes from Godox

Feedback

Just go out and shoot, practice and try different things. We forget that photography is about creating something and necessarily follow all the rules.
