Imagine walking down the lava flow tube under Mt. St. Helens, a live volcano. Imagine seeing a flow of red hot lava creeping slowly down the tube, trapping you to your doom. Well, that did not happen. This is in the lava tube, but the light is from hikers with flashlights making a light trail.
