I happened to pass by this castle en route to Alnwick Castle and had to stop to photograph it.... not being used to the snowy conditions, I parked my car on a slight hill....yup, you know whats coming next... Jumped out and photographed for about 30 minutes.... I slipped and slided a little walking back to my car and after many attempts to drive up the very slight incline, I flagged down another vehicle to help me out of the slippery frozen slope. He was kind enough to sprinkle some sand and drive the car out for me.... My knight in overalls :-)... I think the photograph was worth it :-)...
