Location
I took this photo when I first moved to San Francisco, California.Time
I decided to spend my day off wandering the streets of Chinatown. It was a sunny late morning.Lighting
Since it was almost the middle of the day I decided I needed to look into less exposed areas. I thought this narrow alley with tall walls was a great place for some contrast. The lady happened to be there and added the human element I was looking for.Equipment
I never use any equipment besides my Nikon D5300, this was taken with my fixed 35mm.Inspiration
Sometimes I have the shots in my head and try to achieve them, but most of the time I follow my instinct and let the magic happen!Editing
The post processing was minimal to boost the contrast, sharpening the image, and create the B&W effect. In my camera bag
I like to carry only my camera, and couple of lenses, sometimes I carry my tripod.Feedback
Every time you go out there be open to your surroundings and trust yourself!
