Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo inside the compound where I live. The bird was aware of my presence despite the fact that I hid in a booth.

Time

The exiff data is unaltered. The exact time is shown.

Lighting

I used a Nikon L27 compact camera without the luxury of any artificial lights. There was enough sunlight.

Equipment

The Nikon L27 has a short, not so powerful zoom, but it worked because I was in the booth and the bird was only about one meter from the camera. No tripod.

Inspiration

I had taken it upon myself to take as many pictures of any birds as I possibly could because I could not always afford to travel to a bird sanctuary where I have to pay.

Editing

I did not alter the image in any way.

In my camera bag

I have the L27 and a Nikon L340 bridge camera which I bought last year.

Feedback

In as far as birds are concerned, patience is foremost. One has to be ready to stay in one place waiting for the birds. I deleted many bad shots.
