Behind The Lens

Location

I took this on Mt buffalo road on the way up the mountain. There is a small waterfall so I stopped and got out my camera gear.

Time

I took this in the early afternoon in September of 2015

Lighting

I used a long exposure to blur the movement of the water. Everything else is just the natural light of an early-spring day

Equipment

I used a tripod and my Canon EOS 70D camera with an 18-135mm lens.

Inspiration

I have always been in love with the beauty of nature. I wanted to capture this lovely little waterfall.

Editing

I didn’t do too much post-production. I just corrected the exposure, contrast and white balance.

In my camera bag

Besides my camera of course, I have my 100mm Macro lens, spare battery, lens hood and an extra SD card.

Feedback

If you want to capture something like this you want to make sure that the photograph does not end up over-exposed, as when using a slow shutter speed you are letting more light in. You can prevent this by using a high F Stop.
