I waited all day to get this shot. As soon as it got dark, I threw on my scarf and gloves, headed outside to the 30 degree cold, and set up the shot.Lighting
I wanted a "halo" look to my subjects. I got a set of wireless flash triggers for Christmas the year before and was DYING to use them. I set up the flash on a tripod behind the subjects (with one of the triggers attached) and took the shot in front of them. I was squealing with excitement after achieving my desired results on the first try!Equipment
I'm a Canon girl. I took the shot with my 70D, high powered flash, and wireless flash triggers.Inspiration
I wanted something unique that showed the spark between this couple. You can almost feel the electricity between them after viewing this photo.Editing
Not really. I edited out one of the tripod legs that showed behind the groom, but other than that, the image was perfect straight out of the camera. In my camera bag
Oh Lord, I have a lot! When I shoot weddings, I try to have two bodies with me, five different lenses, tripod, and a monopod. I try not to leave anything out.Feedback
Buy some wireless flash triggers, a high powered flash, and a good tripod. This shot works best at night. It's a very magical shot.
