In 2015, I went on an adventure to California that was sparked solely because of a dream I had one night. It stirred my to the core and in three days I had my bags packed, ready for the journey that lay before me. After meeting a new friend in Seattle, and travelling to Portland together, I got the idea of renting a car. Upon picking up the car I headed straight for the coast. Despite making frequent stops, to capture the magnificent views, I managed to make it to the California border late at night. When I parked to get some sleep I had no idea where I was for everything was pitch black, I could only hear the crashing of waves.

I woke just as the sun was beginning to rise. Now there was enough light for me to assess my surroundings. To my astonishment I parked on a cliff top which over looked the open ocean. Taken aback from the beauty I was beholding I quickly grabbed my camera and captured this moment. As a sat back into the car the magnitude of embarking on such an adventure tingled through me. I would never come back the same after it was all over, and I am forever grateful for it.
