I love performance photography. Whether it's local bands in small clubs, concerts, musical theater, or ballet (my personal favorite of which I do not photograph enough of), I love to capture performances. The Closers are a local blues band in Denver, Colorado. These shots were taken during a performance at Lincoln's Road House in Denver, Co. Characters, all of them, especially their harp player Lee Tibbets and singer Marc Bilker. Bilker embodies all that is a lead singer persona. Cocky and confident, he exudes a larger than life character. My goal was to capture their spirit in these images.
