Sometimes opportunities are there for the taking and at other times you will need to look hard for them. This was an easy shot to see but not an easy shot to undertake. However, the outcome was worthwhile. There was plenty of time to sit and think about composition. I knew the final shot would be a matter of pure chance. A lot of luck was involved for sure. Shutter speed was the main issue. It needed to be fast to capture the acrobat in mid-air and to capture the other important elements in the frame. After twenty minutes of watching the scene, I gave it a go. I had no idea how it would turn out. However, I was pleased with the result. Sometimes you just have to take a chance and hope for the best.
