I took this photo in the "barrio 7" at the edge of the city Cusco, at 3,400m in the Andes. The neighborhood is one of the poorest in the city, where internal migrants from remote Andean communities end up when they move to the city in hope for a better life. One lady we talked to told us that the normal age for children to be introduced to cocaine is 9 years here. I came together with a group with the main aim being to introduce the children of this impoverished neighborhood to photography.
