The recent rain storms up in the Sierra Nevada melted a lot of snow. The resulting runoff has major water flow in the American River. Nimbus Dam is the end point of the release system. All the gates were open, the sky was ominous and it was just after sunset.

Lake Natoma is formed between Folsom Dam and Nimbus Dam of the American River. This little section in Folsom was just before sunset.

This old riverboat is usually aground next to the Sacramento River. With all the rain it is now afloat in the swollen river!
