While camping on Fraser Island in Queensland, Australia, I pulled myself out of bed to watch the sunrise. Pools of water were left behind from the outgoing tide, and I wanted to capture the symmetry of the clouds reflecting onto the beach. I also liked the juxtaposition of a serene reflecting pool with menacing storm clouds offshore.
