Took No1 Spawn ( Charlotte ), out last night, up to the Quayside in Gateshead or according to apple maps Gat-es-Head, bummed around there for a while shooting the Baltic, Sage and Millennium Bridge. Then to round the Night off we paid a visit to Penshaw Monument or to give it it's official title,The Earl of Durham's Monument, for a little wool spinning.
Built in 1844 and dedicated to John Lambton (1792–1840), 1st Earl of Durham and the first Governor of the Province of Canada, it a half-sized replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens.
