Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken whilst walking along the a lake adjacent to the River Derwent in Derbyshire

Time

It was a cold misty morning and the sun was just starting to burn the mist away. I remember it being so quiet and peaceful as well

Lighting

Positioning myself with the tree betwwen the rising sun and myself also helped to diffuse the light

Equipment

This was handhel shot using a Fujifilm X-T10 and a CPL filter

Inspiration

I just loved the soft glow from the morning light and mist

Editing

This was a jpeg straight from the camera

In my camera bag

Went out walking i normally only carry one camera body, a wide angle and medium zoom lens, and my lghtweight Benro carbon tripod. A few filters and couple of spare batteries, as i like to carry less when out for a walk.

Feedback

My only advice is to go out early or stay out late if you want good landscape shots as that's when the light is soft and creates magical colours in the clouds.
