Mount Tamalpais state park in Marin offers painterly dramatic landscapes to photographers. Before the storms came the hills were "golden" (we're not supposed to call them brown...) but we've been inundated with rain in the past 1-2 wks, so this scene will change to more green. I think the gold breaks up the landscape and makes "stars" of the lone trees on hilltops
