This falling down house is one of many in New Mexico. I love to take pictures of them.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the wide open ranching land around Moriarty, New Mexico. We had a massive snow storm and all the fields were pure white. This old ranch building was a stark contrast.

Time

I took this picture mid-morning as I was driving around after a massive snow storm.

Lighting

The lighting was strange, as the sky had a covering of white clouds, and the ground was covered with white snow. The sky and the landscape seemed as one.

Equipment

I shot this with my Canon t5. I parked on the road, stood on an embankment and shot it through the barbed wire fence.

Inspiration

I was driving around after the storm looking for some contrast shots, and I had taken pictures of this building before.

Editing

No, I just had the camera on landscape.

In my camera bag

I have my Canon t5 and t6, each with a different lens.

Feedback

I'm constantly on the look out for that unique shot. I view the world as if looking through the view finder
