Sunrise at Lake Minnewanke is pure bliss even if it does mean 'Lake of the Spirits' so called because it was feared and respected by the Stoney people for the lake's resident spirits. Early Europeans referred to it as 'Devil Lake'. To be honest the only thing I was scared of was that a black bear might come and pay us a visit whilst we were so wrapped up in capturing the sunrise.
