I was driving the final 200 yards to our home in the country, and saw this bald eagle soaring just above the small creek to my left. I stopped my car on the road-bridge just below a tall leafless tree beside the road. This eagle landed about 18 feet above me on a branch. My Canon was in my bag, so slowly I took out my Samsung Cell phone. The eagle was looking down at me. I lowered my window, lifted my S4 and JUST as I was taking the photo, it left the branch. This is the shot I was granted. I'll never forget my "encounter" with this amazing eagle.
