We visited a village, Toroyili, in the Ghanian outback a few years back. I shot a lot of portraits over there when I heard a lot of the villagers didn't own a photograph of themselves or their loved ones. As soon as we returned home I got a local printshop to make photocopies for these people. Unfortunately the photo's took longer than my remaining time in Ghana so I couldn't deliver the prints myself. But my brother did and the villagers where very pleased with them en kept showing them proudly among one another. This is why I love photography
