On top of a floating fish cage 8 by 8 meters and 6 meters deep, homes are being built, thousands of fish are be raised, with a feeding machine, the fish are continuously supplied, within two months (according to the local guide) the fish have grown enough and suitable for consumption.


In most of the fish farms Pangasiusvis is cultured. This fish belongs to the catfish species and is exported to many countries. The fish cage is full of dark, struggling fish bodies, which make high splashing water at the assembly line where the food touches the surface. The river flow will get the fish sufficiently oxygenated water and this method is better than the excavated ponds on land where previously the Asian fish farming by the "use of antibiotics" and "pesticides" slows down the export. (Improving water quality is the main focal point for aquaculture in the world)
