Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Lincoln center. I was origimallky there to do an engagement shoot and decided to have so fun with NYC lights. I love the city.

Time

This was around 7 or 8pm. Just as the lights were perfect and not a lot of light pollution.

Lighting

I love lighting and making sure I can get the best to make my shot have that wow factor. I look for reflections and and the glare it gives off. It really makes your subjects pop.

Equipment

I used a canon 6d with a 17-40 f4 L lens, also including a manfrotto tripod.

Inspiration

I loved the way the lights made the scenery pop and with the people walking around just made the picture look that more interesting to take. It's NYC and it's a busy place. Why not show people in the photo as the are walking through this beautiful place .

Editing

No not really. Just touched up the highlights to really make the image glow.

In my camera bag

Canon 6d, 17-40 f4 L, 70-200 f4 L and a 50 f1.8.

Feedback

Just look for the right moment and place. Look for glares that bounce off other subjects. Don't let your picture only be interesting on one half of the frame. Make sure you can make it give you that wow factor from left to right.
