Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on holidays in B.C. I had just gotten a T1i for Christmas and I was just walking around taking random pics. My moms cat was sitting on the chair and something got her attention and that's when I snapped the photo.

Time

I'm pretty sure the photo was taken in late afternoon if I remember correctly.

Lighting

The lighting was the main reason I took this photograph. I found it interesting.

Equipment

I used a Canon T1i and the standard 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 lens the camera came with. No tripod.

Inspiration

I thought the lighting and the pose was a great photo opportunity.

Editing

I have not used any post processing. In fact this photo is a compressed version I took off my Facebook :( lol

In my camera bag

I dont have very much gear to work with. Just a Canon T1i, 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 and an ES 55-300 f/4-5.6 lens. Pretty standard lol

Feedback

I'm no professional by any means but ide say remember your rule of thirds and in my opinion the best pics are always taken when your subject is in a natural state. Try and take the picture when they're not looking directly at the camera. :)
