Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while attending a Nebraska Corn Huskers football game at their Memorial stadium. The colors everywhere really popped, with the team being known as the "Big Red"

Time

It was taken during the early morning to afternoon.

Lighting

The sun was out and there were barely any clouds in the sky so the blue backdrop really brought out the reds.

Equipment

Panasonic Lumix fz300. Handheld at the opposite end of the stadium. (the 25-600mm super zoom really helped during the game)

Inspiration

Balloons. Every home game at Memorial Stadium, staff hand out bright red balloons to everyone they can and tell people to release them after the first official touchdown. It was an awesome sight to share!

Editing

Simple temperature, highlight, and shadow adjustments.

In my camera bag

I have just recently gotten into photography and started out with a point and shoot, super-zoom 4K camera, so I have been only using that with varying filters. Now I also have a nice 35mm Minolta x-700 with a 50mm f1.4 and Vivitar 75-300 macro focus.

Feedback

Know the flow of the team, stadium, and their traditions. It will always help being aware of what is going to happen where.
