This was shot from the peak of Asia's largest monolithic hills. I was delighted to know that such a wonder was located in my own city. Even though the trek was challenging and tedious, the sight of the ruins from the reign of the Hoysala dynasty against this breath taking view of the Arakavathi river was worthwhile. Also notice how the trunk of the tree growing on top of the ruins has assumed the form of a serpent.
