When I drove the hour from my hometown to this location, I really was not expecting to get the shot I was hoping for. It rained the whole way up with no breaks in the clouds. When I arrived, the only change was a small break in the cloud layer close to the horizon southwest of me. I decided to set up. The rain stopped and the clouds opened up right as the sun started setting, creating this amazing orange glow literally everywhere around me. It was unreal. I do believe as of yet this was the best lighting I've ever experienced for landscapes at sunset.
