Location
At Lake Chillisquaque in The Montour Preserve in Washingtonville, Pa.Time
I took it in the evening, after work. I worked about 12 miles away, and would take my camera gear to work with me sometimes, then drive there after work and wait for the sun to set.Lighting
The light was perfect that evening.Equipment
I believe my Canon Rebel XT, on a tripod, using the 18-55mm kit lens.Inspiration
It was a beautiful evening for sunset, and then I saw this person coming across in front of me, and It was one of those shots that you know is great as soon as you snap the shutterEditing
I did some color and tonal correction in Photoshop CS5.In my camera bag
A camera body, I've since moved up to the Rebel T3, a few filters, flash, and camera and lens cleaning cloths.Feedback
If you find a favorite spot for sunsets, just keep going there frequently. I usually arrived an hour or two before sunset time. For me, it is really relaxing to watch the cloud shapes and colors constantly changing. What you see one moment will often be totally different even a couple of minutes later. And be ready to take lots of photos from which to choose your prize from.
