The solitary figure posed along the shore of the Tazman Sea on the south island of New Zealand gave me the opportunity to create this image. Although the subject is well over six feet tall, the crashing waves and large landform in the left of the frame made him appear tiny by comparison. A sports coat and slacks were a strong contrast to this natural setting and created a feeling of someone isolated from the rest of the world.
