Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in the small town of Ahuachapán, in the wester El Salvadorian mountains. I used an 8-point star filter on a 40-150mm M.Zuiko lens.

Time

It was 6:17 p.m. and the clouds and sky color were very impressive.

Lighting

Plenty of lighting available to take the picture handheld.

Equipment

It was an Olympus OMD E-M10, a 40-150mm zoom at 78mm, ISO 200, 1/200 f/5.

Inspiration

I love sunsets...and in Central America, where hills and mountains and beaches abound, there are many opportunities to get breathtaking sunsets.

Editing

I took this above nearby rooftops so I cropped the bottom. That is about it.

In my camera bag

Olympus OMD E-M5 ii with a 14-150mm, 17mm f/1.8, ND filters and a small tripod.

Feedback

Always be ready with a camera at sunrise or sunset and go looking for the beautiful show that is often presented.
