This was a self portrait taken at the The Standard in NYC. This was moments after the man of my dreams had just left. I watched him walking down the sidewalk towards the subway and out of my view. I had no idea at that moment of I’d ever see him again. When I look at this photo I can still feel the emptiness. (FYI - it would be nine months until I saw him again and we’ve been together ever since, ten years!)Time

I used photoshop to adjust the color to black and white, then added color back to my T-shirt, nail polish on my toes and the brick building in the background. I chose to highlight the building to draw your eyes to where he had been walking.In my camera bag
