While in Java, Indonesia, I hiked few volcanos. Ijen was the representation that you can have from hell.
Men are working here days and night to extract sulfure, in an abominable toxic and horrible smelly area. They are going uphill on slippery rocks and going downhill again until exhaustion. Not a lot of water and food... Not a lot of oxygen on the side of this volcano either.
Under 80 kg baskets that break their back, you'll always see these gentleman smiling and greeting you...
