Blue Hour

The Blue Hour is the twilight period during sunrise, in this case at dusk where the sun is just below the horizon, causing some of the residual solar rays to penetrate indirectly into the Earth's atmosphere assuming a predominantly blue hue.

My name is Alfabile Santana, I live in Itajaí SC Brazil and I am passionate about nature and its landscapes.

On 07-12-2016 I went to the Molhes da Barra where you can see the Bahia Afonso Wíppel de Itajaí SC Brazil, wishing that the sky was extremely colorful as the day before, but after much waiting I realized that the expected color would not come. So I patiently waited for the Blue Hour to arrive almost at its final moment so that I could record through a long exposition all the nuances of the tones of the heavens.

I set the camera up in different shapes and exposures until I got this result. Showing details of the rocks in the foreground, the effect on the water through the long exposure and the shades of blue in the water reflections and the sky.

Nature is like this, a show of colors and life that only those who allow themselves to be sensitized and to be in the right place and at the right time can watch the whole show without paying anything.
