The shoot was taken in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in Bolivia, the richest city of one of the most "underdeveloped" South American countries.
South America is the amazing scenario which gave birth to a precious variety of peoples, being either the expression of many deep-rooted millenary cultures or the result of post-colonial human mixtures.
Exhibiting a certain continuity with the colonial time, the introduction of capitalism as an economic and social model in these countries, which to some extents can be regarded as an imposition and which has been blamed for its contribution to the unsustainable exploitation of the human capital and the natural resources of the territory, on the one hand bore a well-off middle class having access to consumer goods and on the other had a strong impact on the life quality of the rest of the population.
As a result, where wealth is concentrated the most, typically in the urban areas, the differences between social strata become very tangible and the absence of dialogue with each other gets sharper.
