This image was part of a portrait per day challenge. The model in this portrait was at a crossroads in her life, with the sadness of losing her father to cancer and the anticipation of a new phase of life with her daughter graduating from high school. She felt unready for the unstoppable movement of time and change. I felt that to represent time as a train and her moving on as an actual journey would honour her story well.
