I went back to the Philippines to visit a small village where I had lived years ago. It was an amazing experience to see everything in the same place it was when I left. The same men were sitting out on their porches, the women were still working in their yards and the same children were playing outside. This little girl seemed to recognize me as the tall "Amerikano" that always walked this road and she stopped to stare, waved, and ran off laughing like she always did.
