Location
This photo was taken in Bali, Indonesia at Bali Safari and Marine Park during November in 2016. The Macaw was part of an interaction area within the park to allow children to get up close to animals and have their photo taken.Time
I took this photo, mid November in Bali which is High Monsoon season.Lighting
The lightning for this photo was completely by chance. The area surrounding the Macaw was a jungle, tall trees etc and roughly midday so the sun was high in the sky.Equipment
At the time, the only equipment I had to hand was the Nikon D3200 which I used handheld with a 55-300mm telephoto lens. Aperture 71/10, ISO 640, Shutter 10/300, Focal Length 1850/10.Inspiration
To be honest, there was no real inspiration for this shot apart from practice with a DSLR camera and memories of a holiday for friends & family. My trip to Bali was for a very special reason. In July of 2015 I was diagnosed with High Grade Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and had battled with the condition through Chemotherapy up until I entered remission in May 2016 and also endured spinal surgery. I booked the trip with 2 friends as a well deserved break from everything I had been through and it also fuelled me to dabble more in my hobby and love for photography.Editing
Nope :)In my camera bag
I normally have the Nikon D3200 as the main body. I used the Telephoto 55-300mm lens and also 50mm lens. I sometimes carry a small portable tripod and a glass lens ball.Feedback
Honestly I'm not sure what I can say. I am a very amateur at best photographer and the only thing I tell myself is to shoot and shoot often. I tend to take 4-5 shots of the same image and pick what I consider the best of them bunch.
