Backlit shot of Riverside National Cemetery with a pair of my combat boots, boonie hat, cowboy boots and hat, accompanied by a set of miniature American flags. This was a shot I originally took for a representation of myself, in a place where my grandfather is buried. I absolutely love backlit photos like this with prism effects in them.

This along with the black and white ducks photo is one of two of the photos I submitted for my photo-8 course. Yes, I took the traditional black and white film photography course. This is the course that is not digitial, you actually use film, go out, shoot frames and bracket, etc, then come into the wet lab, crack open your film cannister in a pitch black room and in complete darkness, wind your film by touch into a spool for developing. Then the process begins (along with all the fun). Loved this class, have since abandoned (however not for forever) film photography, because I don't have my own darkroom-wet lab to develop and burn my own photos in. One day, I'll return to the traditional media and get back out there as a film photographer. Loved the course and had such a fun time going through it. And yes, I actually waited after I set up my own combat boots from serving in the U.S. Army for three years, my own cowboy boots (served in Texas) and waited till just the right moment to catch just the right conditions. It took almost an hour sitting and waiting for exactly what I wanted out of this.
