Minnekhada Park is famous for it's bear population. There can be about 500 bear sightings a month in and around the park, luckily there are very few bad interactions. Burke Mountain is to the west of the park, where the bears live, and there are salmon streams and blueberry fields to the east, ensuring a lot of traffic when the salmon are running and the blueberry's are ripe. This bear was scavenging carcasses that were at the side of the stream.
