Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was actually taken in my bathtub at home.

Time

It was probably in the afternoon.

Lighting

I have a window overlooking the bathtub so all the lighting came from that.

Equipment

Sony ax7 and that was it!

Inspiration

Ive always wanted the have that milky water look and finally I grabbed my good friend poured all kinds of milk and powder and soap to make it look milky. And honestly it still didnt come out as milky as I wanted before post but it was still a very fun shoot.

Editing

Yes, because the water didnt come out as milky as I wanted in the raw image, I just tried bringing the attention on her face, enhancing her color, and kind of muting the background so it could look as opaque as possible. I took this probably about 8 years ago and I still find myself tweaking a few things here and there.

In my camera bag

I havent had much of a chance to expand my equipment but you will aways find me me with my tripod and camera.

Feedback

Photography is all about capturing your dreams. I try editing as least as possible but of course, editing is also one of my favorite parts. Challenge yourself to capture without editing :). For this particular shot I would recommend using a plethora of milk and flour to really get more of a white liquid. Of course add warm water to make sure everything dissolves so youre not clogging your drain. I’d like to do this again but with black water some day
