We awoke to absolute stillness and a misty lake.

The mist over the lake began to thin as the sun came up. This reminded me of a JMW Turner painting.

The ice and water created an interesting surface to reflect the sunrise.

The oranges and blues of the sky and lake at sunset were intense after the the thunderstorm had passed.

In fall the northern prairie clouds have a more torn, dramatic look.

Unsettled weather on a summer evening on the prairies resulted in some interesting views at sunset.

The lake settled to glass and the sky began clearing.

The layered clouds, the setting sun, and the warm colors of the field and bales made for a view I had to stop my car for and take a few pictures.

While cross-country skiing in -20 conditions, Dan's breath condensed and froze on his beard, hair, and toque.
