check view bug for aircraft pics and check for the shutter speed, ISO and lens specs. Compare to yours for similar pics. I often use settings like yours then shoot -? stops. Above: the bright reflections effect exposure/shutter speed. Shoot shutter priority and keep image centred for auto focus. It is not unusual for me to shot 3-400 or more at an afternoon air show. Result will be a couple of great a several really good ones. Shoot like it was the last chance you have...
