This tribute to the fallen and wounded soldiers in the war in Iraq, was found on the beach alongside the Santa Monica Pier in 2007. They even held a funeral procession and had asked vacationers and beach goers to volunteer to carry the American flag draped mock coffins off the beach. One of them was a boy who couldn't have been older then 12 so it really hit your heart.
