This photo was taken from the top of Samaria Gorge in Crete. I wanted to get to my location before sunrise but unfortunately it meant that I had to get up at 4am and drive 2 hours to a location I`ve never been in a foreign country.Needles to say I got lost so I didn`t make it there in time but the light which welcomed me was still amazing and jaw dropping. Samaria Gorge is a respectable 16km long but the walk itself is around 19km long from start to finish. It is a fairly enjoyable walk with dramatic surroundings and passages. At some sections the danger of getting hit by falling rocks is quite possible so must pay attention when you see the signs. It`s a must visit place while in Crete!
